Officers were called to a mobile home at the Edgewood Estates, 5330 Goshen Road, just before 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 20 and found Daniel F. Drinkwater, 39, with a stab wound to the chest. The injury caused a substantial loss of blood and Drinkwater's right lung collapsed, court documents said.

A sex offender who moved to Fort Wayne from Chicago and had not registered his address with the Allen County Sheriff's Department was arrested Wednesday, Fort Wayne police said.

Jermaine Devon Turner, 26, of the 1000 block of McKee Street, was arrested on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was booked into the Allen County Lockup in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Turner is a convicted sex offender from Chicago and is required to register his whereabouts until 2013. He moved to Fort Wayne about 1 1/2 years ago and had never registered his address, a report said.
