Police say 53-year-old Michael Dellaria is a registered sex offender with a history stretching back to the 1970s and a record in Virginia and Colorado as well as Pennsylvania.

They accuse Dellaria of breaking into a group home for the developmentally disabled in Ross Township, just north of Pittsburgh, early Friday. A counselor reported Dellaria tied her up and sexually assaulted her before ransacking the home.
