Police were called to the 1400 block of East Tillman Road just before 1 p.m. for a report of an unknown problem. When police arrived, the robbery victim told police that she came home Tuesday and found two men inside. One of the men pointed a gun at her. He told her to give up her money and keys, a Fort Wayne police report said.
It was unclear in the report whether the victim lived at the Tillman Road address, where police took the report, or at an address on Calhoun Street that was also named in the report.
The men tied her up with a phone cord and forced her into a spare room. They then told her not to look at them and left in her Jeep, the report said.
On Sept. 2, the girl's mother reported to police that she believed Gergely had sexual contact with the girl. Gergely was being held at the Paulding County Jail for violating probation that day and agreed to speak with police Sept. 10, according to court records.
The grand jury indicted 14 other people for charges including theft, non-support of dependents, illegal cultivation of marijuana and forgery, according to the Paulding County Prosecutor's Office.
A monthlong investigation ended Tuesday with the arrest of Waylon J. Zollinger, 36, of the 7400 block of St. Joe Center Road. Police began their investigation when the 14-year-old alleged victim confided to a school counselor, police said.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the misconduct began in July and continued through Oct. 7. Zollinger is accused of having oral sex with the girl, fondling her and having sexual intercourse with the teen.
The teen told police that Zollinger had demonstrated martial arts moves and had caused her pain in the past by showing her pressure points. He had also said he could kill her if he wanted to. Because of this, the teen said she was afraid when he asked her for sexual favors, court documents said.
The victim's mother confronted Waylon at least twice about his relationship with her daughter. The first time, he told the teen's mother that the teen had a vivid imagination and that she was fantasizing. But he also said he had feelings for her. The second time, he admitted to having a sexual relationship with the teen, according to court documents.
Fort Wayne police were called to a Bureau of Motor Vehicle license branch July 14 when Efrain Mondragon presented the two fake cards plus a valid Indiana identification card. Mondragon, 29, of the 2700 block of West Washington Center Road, was trying to get an Indiana driver's license, a probable cause affidavit said.
BMV staff could tell the Social Security card was fake because the ink was too bright and the back of the card didn't have certain colored dots. The Social Security number was a valid number issued to someone living in Texas. The fake permanent resident card had an improper hologram on the back, court documents said.
During an interview with detectives, police read Mondragon his rights in Spanish. He then said the two cards were fake and that he got them from someone who makes the cards and lives in Centlivre Village apartments on Westbrook Drive, court documents said.
